Calculation methodology
PullPro tracks the source and confidence behind reel, conductor, and calculation data so a rule of thumb cannot silently present itself as a manufacturer rating.
Current as of August 3, 2026NEC Chapter 9 Tables 4, 5, and 9 are transcribed references and have not yet been independently checked against a published code book. Conduit-fill and voltage-drop results are preliminary.
A missing value remains unknown. It is never converted to zero or quietly replaced with an estimate.

Impedance-path calculations for 60 Hz systems. The familiar 3% and 5% values are design guidance from Informational Notes—not enforceable limits.
Published reel data is carried with provenance. Rated, advisory, and geometry-derived limits remain distinct.
The shipped Encore footage table came from a superseded reference. Compared with the current chart, 59 of 103 values differ and 11 have no counterpart. PullPro identifies the dataset as a legacy reference rather than hiding the discrepancy.
Steel-reel limits previously framed too strongly were corrected. Current handling keeps advisory distributor data separate from published standards and manufacturer ratings.
Current source material includes Encore Wire, Southwire SIMpull systems, Service Wire packaging guidance, USESI distributor material, NEMA WC-26/EEMAC 201, ANSI/ASME B30.7, ANSI A10.22, and DOT/FMCSA transport guidance.
Confirm rated reel values with the current manufacturer publication and verify applicable electrical calculations against the governing code book, project documents, and qualified engineering review.
